The Illawarra Ethnic Communities Council's youth programs are aimed at young people aged 12 to 25, from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Our youth programs include the Multicultural Youth Development Project (MYDP) and Links to Learning (L2L). MYPD projects have included Multicultural Youth Conference, Magazine project, Casual Edge program, Harmony Day events and programs, Cross cultural training and development, Cultural cooking classes, Spiked drink campaign, Supporting local and regional festivals. L2L is a Community Grants Program, and assists young people at school aged 12 to 24 years who are at risk of leaving school early. It provides them with a range of opportunities to remain in or re-enter mainstream education and training.
